Nothing provided by Reminders — including features, copy, FAQs, email content, or SMS messages — constitutes legal, immigration, medical, insurance, tax, financial, or professional advice of any kind. Reminders is a scheduling and notification tool only.

Notifications Are Not Guaranteed

Email and SMS notifications are sent on a best-effort basis. Delivery can fail, be delayed, be filtered as spam, or be blocked by your email provider or mobile carrier. Very Simple Systems makes no warranty that any specific notification will be delivered on time or at all.

Factors outside our control that can prevent delivery include, but are not limited to:

• Spam filters and email provider rules.
• SMS carrier filtering or network outages.
• Changes to your email address or phone number without updating your account.
• Service interruptions at third-party providers (Resend, Twilio, Supabase, or Vercel).

Backup Contacts Are Not Guaranteed to Respond

If you have enabled a backup contact, that person may receive a follow-up email if you do not respond to a reminder. Very Simple Systems does not guarantee that the backup contact will read, act on, or respond to backup contact emails. Backup contact follow-up is also subject to the same delivery limitations above.

Verify Official Deadlines Independently

Deadlines change. Government agencies, insurers, employers, and other institutions update their requirements without notice. Always verify the current deadline directly with the relevant authority, institution, or professional before relying on it.

Do Not Rely Solely on Reminders

Reminders is a convenience tool to help you track and approach deadlines. It is not a substitute for your own judgment, professional advice, or direct verification with the relevant authority. Do not rely solely on Reminders for critical, legally significant, or irreversible deadlines.

User Responsibility

You are solely responsible for:

• Entering accurate due dates and reminder details.
• Keeping your contact details (email and phone) current in your account.
• Verifying deadlines directly with the relevant authority or professional.
• Taking action on deadlines regardless of whether you received a notification.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Very Simple Systems shall not be liable for any missed deadline, lapsed status, expired document, penalty, or other consequence arising from your use of or reliance on Reminders. See our Terms of Service for the full limitation of liability.
